System Update
May 09, 2025
We want to take a moment and thank all of our loyal customers for their patience and understanding. The water system was established in 1964 and has overcome many obstacles recently. The last few months we have experienced electronic transmitter failures on an unprecedented level. These transmitter issues have caused billing anomalies to almost 1,200 customers. All of our customers can be confident their water is being measured and the issues we are experiencing are due to electronic transmitters. The meters deployed consist of 3 parts; the measuring chamber, the display, and the transmitter. During the last month we replaced 500 of these systems and found the measuring chamber and display on the old systems are providing volume measurements that will be used for billing purposes. Our intention is to replace everyone’s meter with the new system over the next 4 years. Our obligations to maintenance, testing, and other day to day items financially dictate that we spread this investment out over the timeline referenced above. Our staff has worked tirelessly to overcome as many reading obstacles as possible during each billing cycle while fulfilling all other obligations. We look forward to having the new systems in place and we appreciate our customers' understanding during this process.
